Tommy Dimsdale Announces His Candidacy for District 33 State House
This comes after a year of Dimsdale educating young people on America and its founding in conservatism. He has hosted classes on conservative issues, including an 8-week class at Crossroads Baptist Church titled “Courageous.”
And he has another series coming up at Philadelphia Baptist Church.
Tommy Dimsdale has a history of political activism all over the conservative sphere. Dimsdale has worked on the Cruz campaign and also hosted his own political talk show called the Dimsdale Debate. He is a Spartanburg native, and he has worked on campaigns on both local and national levels. His ‘About‘ page says that “[f]or Tommy, knocking on doors and making phone calls for an issue he believes in is the most fulfilling work he can imagine.”
Dimsdale will be running against District 33 incumbent, Eddie Tallon. Tallon has served District 33 since 2010 and claims a conservative base despite placing limitation to access to firearms and regulating the sale of precious metals on his ‘Legislative Highlights‘ page. He also sided with the biggest gas tax hike in South Carolina history. This tax hike was widely unwanted by citizens of South Carolina and Governor McMaster even attempted to veto it.
Dimsdale is Tallon’s first real challenger and the election is coming up this year.
